Margaret Nearl was once one of the foremost Knights of Kazimierz until she contracted Oripathy and banished by her grandfather, and national hero, Kirill Nearl.
This was a false allegation and one done to protect her as Margaret was going against the General Chamber of Commerce that was turning the Kazimierz Major, a gladitorial competition to celebrate the honor of their knights, into a commercial spectacle. In her eyes, the Major should remain as tradition dictates but as the country progressed these views of honor were replaced by the need for wealth to fuel progress. Or so the KGCC say.
Margaret accepted her exile and thought of it as training, wandering the Terra and lending her aid to those who need it. She eventually joined two wandering Sarkaz healers, Shining and Liz(Nightingale), and formed the Followers. The trio continued to travel and bond, helping many people in rural areas until they eventually joined up with Rhodes Island, a pharmaceutical company with the lofty goal of helping those afflicted with Oripathy and finding a cure for the said disease.
Margaret incorporated herself well into Rhodes Island and participated in many operations, becoming a notable operator and one many relied on. She found many friends and kindred spirits in Rhodes but she never once forgot her mission, to one day return to Kazimierz correct the disparity in her homeland.
By the time the 24th Major was in play, Margaret rushed home upon hearing her sister, Maria, was participating for fear that she may become a target of the KGCC. She made it just in time to save Maria from two brutish opponents and announce her return as the Radiant Knight.
